(RE)CONNECT to your Nature ~ The changing of seasons

Reconnect to Nature and reconnect to YOU!

The beginning of 2020 somehow seems like lifetimes ago. This year has brought so much change that it has overwhelmed most of us, and surely surprised us in all possible ways thinkable to say the least. The rise of the pandemic has created opportunities for the light to shine brighter, as well as the shadows to increasingly come to the surface. And they will continue doing so as we speak. It pushes and pulls all of us into all possible directions. And it has and still is calling us to stand up and to rise up even more fiercely than we already did. Therefore SAHA has been offering virtual retreats and trainings creating more opportunities in new ways never thought possible. And after the success of our first virtual (Re)connect to your Nature retreat in October, our next one will be the end of January 2021!

Nature
Right now we have entered fall season. And where I (Iris) am from (The Netherlands) it looks no different than other years except for that it actually seems to smell better and look more beautiful, more intense and colorful. Maybe because this year is so unusual that I need to connect more deeply to my surroundings. I automatically start to notice what has been there all along. Maybe because it eventually is becoming clear now that nothing is forever and even things considered 'normal' can change in the blink of an eye. Maybe (mostly in the Western part of the world) we've been spoiled for some time with too much comfort and now the discomfort gives us the push we need to start noticing what actually is there, what needs to happen and to start moving in the direction of expansion and growth.

This is quite literally how nature works. So even though this whole transition we're in seems so unnatural, may be a part of nature. A part of the change of seasons of human kind. Not so much of mother earth. She does her thing and doesn't need us as much as we need her. She's resilient and will recover eventually. The question is 'will we'?

Reconnect to Your Constants in “Seas of Change”

I believe we will. And although we all know the only constant in life is change, we can learn how to navigate change as gracefully as we can in this moment. To do so we can nurture some 'constants'. The clue is to stay connected. This is and isn’t just one thing in itself as everything is ONE, so I've split it up in three ways to do this:

  1. Connect to Mother Earth

  2. Connect to yourself (for self support) and those around you (to your support family)

  3. Connect to Oneness (your spiritual connection to The All that is)

Some tips to help you practice your connection:

  • Connect to Mother Earth by:

    • walking barefoot on the earth (if it's cold, get barefoot-shoes)

    • meditate growing roots from your body into the earth

    • gardening

    • eat root veggies

    • dance to root chakra music (low slow beats)

  • Connect to yourself and support family (if needed through the virtual realms):

    • grounding through yoga

    • listen to yourself, meditate to clear your internal space

    • listen to others, safe some space before you react

    • dance or/and play together

    • gather in circle, create ceremonies

  • Connect to Oneness

    • all the above, lol!

    • read spiritual books*

    • microdose plant medicine

 * Some books to read: Twin born as light (Bernadette von Dreien)), New Earth (Eckart Tolle), When Things Fall Apart (Pema Chondron)

Health

It has always been so so important to stay healthy on all levels. Physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically. If a pandemic can teach us anything then it's this. To support our SAHA family and anyone who needs, we offer our second virtual (Re)connect to your Nature Weekend retreat in January of 2021!. Please join us to practice your (re)connecting and rise with us through these interesting times!

Love, light and Aloha
